Rank Structure (OOC)

Explanation of duties/ranks:
Jedi General: The Leader of Gra'tua Cuun, and senior member of the Grand War Council*.

Jedi Commander: Leader of any forces they are given, and has a seat on the Grand War Council.

Jedi Auxiliary: This is a Jedi who has only just come to GC, and as such has not proven themselves capable of leading any forces. Due to their Jedi status, they are afforded the rank their station demands, however the Jedi General has decreed that until such time as they have proven themselves to both himself and the Grand War Council, they are not to lead any forces, whatsoever. (This rank sits off by itself, and does not fall into the structure.)

Ground Commander, Admiral, and Militia Captain are all equal to each other in the rank structure.

Ground Commander: Leader of all the Ground Forces. Ground Commander is also entitled to an Aide de Camp who acts as his second, and his right hand. Aide de Camp does not have any other authority over any other members of GC with the exception of those he/she outranks IC'ly.

Admiral: In charge of the Navy. All warships, fighter squadrons, and transport vessels answer to the Admiral. He is also responsible for the scouting of Imperial Space or such targets that GC is about to be engaged in, and clearing of hyperspace routes prior to force movement.

Militia Captain: Leader of the Irregulars. The Militia Captain does not have any Military Authority except for those that are placed directly under his influence. As the Miltia Captain is leading a force of civilians, it is his job to keep order and discipline in his ranks to the best of his ability.

Veteran: This rank is for a member of the Navy or Army that has proven themselves capable and has done the time to earn the reputation.

Militia: Equal to a Veteran, but falls under the Militia Captain.

Recruit: Just that, a fresh recruit.

"Prospect": Someone who is not IC'ly officially in the guild, and is undergoing the vetting process.

Grand War Council: This is a Jedi Council that stands independent of the Jedi Council on Coruscant. It functions the same way, but it has a senior member. The senior members greatest responsibility is that in the event that the council is deadlocked on an issue, he is a tie breaker.
