Took the Commission, got a small squad. It's great to be back on the field again, with a group you can call your own watching your back. These other troops are the best of the Republic, supposedly, but they are not Mando. I miss my vod, he may be a snotty little di'kut, but he is a real verd.

We are currently doing border skirmishes and interdictions, but it's good fast work. Feels like I'm on the jurkadir again. And that is really picking up my spirits. I hate sitting in Garrison. You can only clean your kit so many times before you want to shoot the al'verde just to get some action.

And he's a pretty fat bastard, no way I'd miss.

Lost my first Trooper today. Simple border action. Sent Slags around to flank while the rest of the squad punched through, max force forward. We were shukur their lines, and Slags was going to mop up any that tried to ba'slan shev'la.

I messed up and sent that kid to his grave. I never shabiir.

How did I trattok'o?

I deliver his remains tomorrow. He was a good kid. He deserved better.

General Garza contacted me directly today on a secure Holo. The Ghost Hounds are no more, and I am now to operate solus. I will enjoy this. I think it will be good for me to operate ures anything holding me back. I need to rekindle my shereshoy.

I think I will go to Dxun. Me, my blade, and whatever the jungle can send at me.

I have been given a new Troop. Her name is ... Private Rieth. Nothing here about promotions or demotions, so I believe her to be a Private. But she's been in far too long to have not been advanced. I will make a point to ask about that.

Demolitions, small ordnance, large ordnance, improvised explosive devices, doesn't look like there is anything she can't turn into a bomb. Might be handy in a pinch. Or she might just take out the grid square that I'm in.

Guess it's just a matter of discipline. I'm supposed to meet her tomorrow.

I was summoned before the Senate today. They have created a new Security Force, asked me to name it. I told them Gra'tua Cuun would fit just fine. So that's the name now. I wonder if my Mando brothers will take this as a challenge or not, that I would name a Republic unit in Mando'a.

At this point, I doubt they even baatir.

Taking PVT Rieth with me as my Aide. I fear to release her back to the regular military, that she would be given back to another toxic leader who would hold her back.

So, after identifying that some of our members are running around with organizations we will likely have to take down, I made a command decision. I barred our troops from associating with them.

I should have claimed to nakar'mir. I have had some of our guys tail my ge'ver'alor. I knew what I was taking from all of them, but from her specifically.

Did I do it because it was the right thing to do? Did I do it out of a sense of jealousy I'm not aware of? Was it misguided protection?

Regardless, it is done.

I didn't even try to defend. Maybe I knew I deserved it. Maybe I thought it would lessen her kaden.

Damn my troan hurts.

I guess now I just need to figure where to go from here. Keep her? She doesn't respect me, barely listens to orders and not without much complaining.
Punish her? Short of taking her in front of the formation and lashing her it will do no good, and that will simply push her to a further insubordinate stand off.
Get rid of her? It's the easiest thing to do, but not necessarily right.

In some lights, she's mandokarla.

But she is dar'mando'ad.

Ak'ron called a small meeting today, said that he's got a 'bad feeling' about something. A sense or vision of impending doom. I hope the Jedi Forecast is better than weather satellite forecasts.

I'm at Hoth now, helping our Training Cadre stand up our not yet trained recruits into fighting units. I think Hoth is the location that's going to be attacked, but Ak'ron feels it's Tatooine, so I am to head there next. We have a small scout platoon there, and per my orders they have gone into hiding, to merely watch and observe, I'll meet Neritaana there.
